Monoprints is a series I made when I discovered how to make my own gelatin plates for printmaking. I used washable tempera as my medium and a variety of found objects such as different types of string, kitchen utensils, organic matter and stencils to "color block" different areas of the print. Many of the pieces have multiple layers. It was very experimental and fun, and there were many other "drafts" of each print before I had perfected the application of paint and objects.
